That was the most frustrating parade ever! Sorry people, I stuffed up so muchhhhhhhhhhhh=0=0=0 =S
So it started at me getting a bit angry at Bahaven for shouting at us year 12's in the shaded quad area ("if you aren't on parade, and aren't a CUO, then stand properly!"), when it was like 7.40am and the rest of the unit were just getting dress-inspected. I sort of turned my back on him and ignored him.
The parade was SO GOOD(!!!) on the oval! Like, if any juniors or year11's read this, that was a freaking good effort, thankyou!!!!!
But once we got to the hall, I forgot to hold onto the actual flag, so that while I was trying to grab it, my flagpole rammed into the roof and flagparty got laughed at =S Sorrysorryyyyy mybad.
We were the most out of sync than ever before, when we went up to put the flags down. That turn always confuses me. I mean, we were good this morning, on monday, and on last monday, and =S.
When we sat down, I realised that I forgot to give my USB with the powerpoint on it to the SNL people, so that must have looked bad. Grateful to the SNL people who, although being angry at me, did run through half the slideshow at breakneck speed. But it just feels like my 1.30am finish this morning was for nothing; no one could see any of the photos clearly.
When taking up the flags again, I forgot to salute. Because like, that's what I do. So Bernard had to remind me (thanks!) but that made me look even more fool.
The visiting officer was the most engaging visitor yet! I think he is a true inspiration to many of us.
So overall, my arm hurts and I feel crap.
But glhf to year 11's! The new CUO's are no less leet than ours.
Btw, year12cadets, some of us are planning to visit NZ again after HSC, as a post-cadet annual. Trekking and etc. I'm not sure about, seeing as we do not, this time, have experienced, mature people with us (unless we can somehow bribe one of the officers to come lol), but what say we take tours and stuff? Like on a touring coach or something. It's still in the embryo stage (the idea of a post-cadet annual), but many of us have mentioned it before, so yeah.
And year 12 cadets, I am very (verrrryyyyy) grateful to have been in cadets with you, some since I joined in 2007, some later on. You are quite the awesome *Salutes*.
The photos slideshow/powerpoint is ----->>>here<<<------. Much thanks, Jess, Edward Lo-Cao and Chi-Wai for fixing it up! (I couldn't work out how to make the transitions automatic on Office07.)
